Rebecca & Chris – Trunkwell House Hotel

A September wedding at Trunkwell House, Reading, Berkshire

Rebecca and Chris could not have chosen a more idyllic setting to have a summer wedding than Trunkwell House, which sits on 34 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside. I was lucky enough to be the photographer chosen to capture this special event and document the memories into a keepsake they will have forever.

It was the kind of September day that fairy tale weddings are made of. Rebecca, the beautiful bride, had chosen a stunning white lace gown. The detail on the dress was picked out to perfection in the pictures, giving real depth to the photography. Chris, the groom, was easy going and very calm, making it easy to capture their happiness.

The couple had chosen their closest friends to be with them on their wedding day. The photography easily captured the strong friendship shared by the bride and her bridesmaids. Every wedding requires a cute flower girl, and this one was no exception. They say never work with animals or children, but this flower girl was a delight to work with – she lit up whenever the camera pointed her way!

For me, a great wedding setting is a real gift and Trunkwell House is one of the best. Lush surroundings invited the guests to relax and enjoy the day. This serene atmosphere promoted relaxed and natural photos that were a pleasure to take!

Family members came from all over England to be a part of the big day. In my role, I try to blend into the background, so I can take the most authentic and natural photos possible. And with a glass of Champagne or two, the guests are soon relaxed.

Some people say the wedding supper is the best bit of the day. Personally, I always love the speeches. At this wedding, the best man did an excellent job and it was easy to reproduce in pictures the love felt by everyone in the room.

All in all, it was a fantastic day with some beautiful photos to show for it. As all the guests wound down for the evening, there was nothing else left to do than make sure the gorgeous cake, made entirely of cheese, was captured in all its glory before it was eaten by the hungry guests!
